Rhodanthemum are best planted in a well-drained soil of sand, chalk and loam within an acidic, alkaline or neutral PH balance. They are best positioned in an area that receives full sun. Rhodanthemum are well suited to flower beds and borders within courtyard, cottage and informal garden settings. They also make fantastic container plants.

When all risk of frost has passed, dig a hole ad deep and as wide as the root ball, carefully placing your plants into position. Back fill the planting area and water thoroughly and deeply to settle the soil into place and encourage a healthy root system.
Feed and water regularly to help your plants thrive. In autumn, apply a layer of mulch around the base of your plant which will help retain moisture, supply nutrients and suppress weeds. Leave any intact foliage or stems in place as this will provide more protection from colder conditions. If temperatures are too low, you will need to provide additional protection or move your plants to a warmer environment.
It is possible to propagate Rhodanthemum by seed or softwood cuttings.
