The word Salvia is derived from the Latin 'salvere' meaning 'to save' as it has been used medicinally for centuries.
The Collection comprises; ‘Royal Rumble’ – An award winner with scented, vibrant cardinal-red flowers which emerge from purple-flushed stems, height 75cm, spread 60cm, hardy H4; greggii ‘Emperor’ – velvety open-mouthed blooms in shades of red and purple, height and spread 60cm, ‘Cherry Lips’ – colour-changing blooms, at any time there can be three different coloured blooms on one plant, some white, come cherry-red and some a combination of both, depending on the temperatures, height 90cm, spread 60cm, hardy H3; ‘Hot Lips’ – one of the most popular in recent years, the sister of ‘Cherry Lips’, with colour-changing blooms of white and bright red, height 90cm, spread 90cm, hardy H5; and ‘Lemon Pie’ – exquisite, creamy pale yellow blooms almost seem to glow, height 70cm, spread up to 1m, hardy H4.
Blooming from June to October, an excellent addition to your cut flower arrangements.
