Dazzling Helleborus ‘Double Ellen’ Collection encompasses all the beauty of these ever-popular blooms with each variety offering frilly, fantastically marked double blooms from January to May. There is no better way to add colour, form and foliage to a shady nook in need of some pizzaz during the early part of the year. All are generous double blooms, which make a perfect inclusion in a vase too. Leaves are large, palmate and glossy with serrated edges, prominent veins and an opulent impact. Foliage is held all year round, although it is recommended that spent leaves are snipped back before the arrival of the flowers, so they don’t detract from the beauty of the blooms. Dazzling Helleborus ‘Double Ellen’ Collection comprises; x hybridus ‘Picotee’; x hybridus ‘Pink’; x hybridus ‘White’; and x hybridus ‘Red’. A perfectly collated quartet of rich, resonating tones. All prefer moist, well-drained, humus rich soil of any kind except sand based. Plant in partial to full shade where these fully hardy, semi-evergreen perennials will reach a height and spread of 35cm. Happy in containers as well as open ground, your hellebores will naturalise once established.
