Garden Inspiration
Tell Me More...
Helleborus x hybridus ‘Double Ellen White’ brings angelic looking blooms with naturally charming and exquisitely coloured interiors to your garden. The zesty white flowers offer delicate colour from January to May each year and the intricate stamen give the impression of a halo or crown to accent each bloom. The frilly double flowers will defy the cold and flower even when there is snow on the ground, making them a spectacular sight to behold. Helleborus x hybridus ‘Double Ellen White’ bears blooms up to 8cm across, which will dance on strong stems above glossy, serrated, semi-evergreen foliage. These treasured blooms bring interest to the shadier, woodland areas of your garden and also make an excellent addition to vases. Helleborus x hybridus ‘Double Ellen White’ is a fully hardy (H7) perennial which requires no extra winter protection. Plant in a site which benefits from a moist, humus-rich soil of any kind except sandy. Give your helleborus a spot in dappled or full shade and it will reach a height and spread of 35cm.
