Clusters of rich ruby blooms are a dramatic contrast to the dark-green foliage of Pelargonium interspecific ‘Calliope Dark Red’. A cross between a zonal and ivy-leaved pelargonium, this variety combines the best features of both with crinkled, trailing aromatic foliage and a profusion of velvety double blooms from May to October.A collection of simple terracotta pots spilling over with red Pelargoniums is timeless and richly evocative of a Mediterranean courtyard garden. Furthermore, the unmistakeable scent released by the foliage as you water plants will transport you there in an instant.Thrives in full sun or part shade in well-drained soil. Keep the soil moist by watering often and feed with diluted liquid plant feed every other week. Deadhead spent blooms as you notice them to ensure a long-lasting display. A compact and well-branched variety growing to a height and spread of up to 45cm.Tender (H2) Pelargonium ‘Calliope Dark Red’ overwinters well in a greenhouse or conservatory.
