Lavandula angustifolia 'Rosea' is an eponymous, fragrant, evergreen which produces unusual rose-pink blooms. Not only will the delicious scent of this pretty flower fill the air, it will also entice your local bees and butterflies into the garden. As a Mediterranean native Lavandula is both heat and drought tolerant, matching this original climate. In addition, Lavandula angustifolia 'Rosea' is referred to as an 'English Lavender' and is hardy enough to withstand UK frosts. They were first brought to the UK in the 17th century. Like other angustifolia lavenders 'Rosea' is a compact bushy plant which is great for cutting and ideal as a dried addition to pot pourri. Grows to a height and spread of 70cm.Prefers a site in full sun which benefits from well-drained soil. A hardy, evergreen perennial.
