Tell Me More...
If you only have space for one plant in your garden, we believe Penstemon is the one you choose. A real must have for any garden, beautiful, bell-shaped blooms are held on strong stems over tidy clumps of semi-evergreen foliage. Giving you colour for up to six months of the year, sometimes longer. Penstemon are the insomnia party animals of the plant world which do without sleep for six months of the year. Summer arrives and your Penstemon start flowering, summer ends and they are still blooming, autumn comes around and they still show no signs of tiring. Tell them the party is over and they will just laugh! And you will not need to battle against slugs and snails either, as Penstemon are not eaten by any garden pests and yet loved by bees. These gorgeous plants do not mind drought or heavy rain and are perfect for containers, borders, in sun or part shade. Being hardy perennials, winter protection is not required in most of the UK
