Celebrated for their rich colours and their delightfully sweet perfume -the unmistakable scent is powerful enough to fill the air on a calm spring day. Abundant Hyacinthus orientalis Collection contains: Hyacinthus orientalis 'City of Haarlem' - unusual primrose yellow flowers from this AGM holding bloom; Hyacinthus orientalis 'Woodstock' - opulent, plum-purple blooms; Hyacinthus orientalis 'Gipsy Queen' - an AGM holding Hayloft favourite with unusual apricot-tangerine flowers.Hyacinthus orientalis prefer to be grown in well-drained, moderately fertile soil in full sun or partial shade. Versatile enough for open ground, rockeries or containers and eager to naturalise too. Growing to a height of 30cm, Hyacinthus are hardy bulbs which can be left in the ground without the need for frost protection.H H
