Verbena hybrida 'Magelana Deep Red' blooms are incredibly long-lasting and large, making for a high performing addition to spring and summer gardens. One of the most prolific verbena varieties around, its deep red colour will not fade even in the hottest summer months. Flowering in April and May, much sooner than many verbena, lasting until even the first frosts of autumn. Rich red blooms could be mistaken for a valentine special, standing out individually in containers or excelling in mixed bedding arrangements as a weed-suppressant. Attractive serrated foliage is somewhat of a hidden treasure below the carpet of red up top. Bees, butterflies and other pollinators dance from bloom to bloom, enjoying the rich nectar that lies within the massive blooms of Verbena hybrida 'Magelana Deep Red'.Prefers to be planted in well-drained soil in sun or part shade. It is a tender annual, withstanding down to around 5 C. H: 25cm S: 35cm.
