A perfect addition to any garden. Unbeatable on garden performance, suppressing weeds and most importantly giving you up to 5 months of floriferous colour. Attractive to bees and butterflies as well as being deer and rabbit resistant making these low maintenance gems. Collection comprises: sanguineum var. striatum – an evergreen carpet of finely divided almost ferny foliage is wrapped in summer with pale pink, saucer-shaped blooms up to 4cm across from June to August, height 15cm, spread 30cm. phaeum – green foliage with purple markings below tall stems which hold small, purple flowers with yellow centres from May to July, H: 1m, S: 75cm. cinereum 'Ballerina' AGM – mounds of grey-green foliage are covered by large, lilac, purple veined blooms with a black centre from May to August, height 15cm, spread 30cm. bohemicum 'Brookside' – Bountiful blooms of violet-blue with white centre are borne above yellow-green foliage from June to August. H&S: 60cm. sanguineum 'Dilys' – Low growing mid green foliage with beautiful magenta pink saucer -shaped flowers from June to October. H: 45cm, S: 60cm. pratense 'Mrs Kendall Clark' AGM – Pale lilac grey blooms 4cm in width, with grey veining appear above mid-green finely cut foliage. H: 90cm, S: 60cm. All have been classified by the RHS as H7 hardiness, down to -20°C and lower, except ‘Ballerina’ who will need protection if temperatures dip below -15°C. Happy in any, moderately fertile, well-drained soil in sun or partial shade.
