Tell Me More...
Sedum 'Coraljade' is part of the intriguingly named 'Rock 'n' Grow' series - indicating its funky colours and its easygoing nature. Perfect as a low-growing, weed-suppressing beauty that brings late-season flowers to the garden from August to October in shades of green and coral pink. If left on plants over the winter, stems and seedheads offer sustenance to wildlife as well as architectural interest. The foliage of Sedum 'Coraljade' also adds beauty to containers, troughs and borders from April through to December time. Leaves are vibrant green in colour, often with a bloom on them which enhances their beauty further. Growing in substantial clumps, plants can easily substitute for shrubs wherever you choose to plant them. If planting in the ground pick a site which benefits from well-drained soil and full sun in order for your Sedum 'Coraljade' to thrive. As a half-hardy, herbaceous perennial these plants my need a thick winter mulch to protect them from temperatures below -5 C. This is easily done when the leaves die back for winter and need not damage the seedheads. Container plants can be brought undercover or protected with horticultural fleece.
