A relative of the mint family and holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its outstanding performance. Monarda didyma 'Beauty of Cobham' has wonderful, funky pink flowers surrounded by darker purple-pink bracts. Flowers are suspended on strong stems which make ideal cut flowers for a vase or bouquet. Blooms appear in June and last through to September providing spent flowers are deadheaded. Furthermore, the foliage of this colourful beauty releases an intense and appealing perfume when moved or crushed and the leaves are held from April right through to October for an enduring and captivating aroma. Plant near a pathway or any area which receives plenty of footfall in order to make the most of this fabulous quality.Monarda didyma 'Beauty of Cobham' prefers a moist, well-drained loamy soil with any aspect other than north-facing which benefits from full sun. As a hardy plant (H4) it requires no winter protection will reach a height of up to 90cm cm with a spread of up to 75cm.
