Tell Me More...
Hosta 'Paul's Glory' is one of the larger sized hosta and will reach a height and spread of up to 1m! Coupled with this it has an intriguing, colour shifting habit which spans across its growing season from March to November. Heart-shaped leaves emerge with a more greenish tinge to their variegated foliage and then the golden colour of the centres intensify (particularly with a little sunshine), changing again to a creamier hue towards the autumn. The gorgeous leaves of Hosta 'Paul's Glory' are accompanied by pale, purple-hued flowers in June and July, which are held on strong stems. Flowers are ideal for cutting, particularly if you grow hosta plants mostly for their large and decorous leaves. This way you get a vase or bouquet with intriguing hosta flowers as an added bonus. Hosta 'Paul's Glory' is a fully hardy, herbaceous perennial which is perfect as groundcover and will happily live in a container. Plants prefer a spot which benefits from moist, well-drained soil in partial to full shade of any type, excepting chalky or sandy soil.
