Tell Me More...
A trio of salvia which are eager to weave their way through your garden flowers from May to November, adding colour and sweet, herby fragrance from spring into autumn. Each individual plant in the Esteemed Salvia Collection has wonderfully rich hues and, when planted together, they create an exotic looking, spreading carpet of verdant foliage and illuminating hues. Your collection is made up of the peachy pink, yellow and orange tones of x jamensis Belle de Loire; the warming red stems, calyces and petals of x jamensis Flammen - an exciting new variety; and the rich, radiant hues of another newcomer, x jamensis Blackberry Ripple. All reach a mature height of 70-80cm with a spread of 60-70cm. Foliage is held from March to November adding verdant cover and gap-filling interest. These are hardy, semi-evergreen perennials which may even retain their foliage all year in milder winters. Stems are perfect for cutting and be sure to plant your Esteemed Salvia Collection in well-drained soil with full sun or partial shade in any aspect except north facing - a wonderful spot where you can take full advantage of the aromatics.
