Tell Me More...
A new and exciting variety of baptisia which is sure to capture the attention of both garden pollinators and people when it flowers from April to June each year. Baptisia australis 'Decadence Pink Truffles' certainly has an air of exuberance to it, and blooms are excellent either planted in the border or picked to put in a vase. The pretty, lupin-like flowers are beautifully framed by neat mounds of glaucous foliage which are retained from March to November, adding tinges of blue to the garden for cooling and calming impact. As flowers fade, plants produce large seed pods which ripen to deep grey and bring further interest in the borders.Baptisia australis 'Decadence Pink Truffles' prefers a spot in well-drained soil with full sun and a south or west facing aspect. These hardy, herbaceous perennials dislike being disturbed so choose their home carefully, they will mature to a height and spread of 90cm.
