Tell Me More...
Graceful and elegrant. Anemone Wild Swan was discovered growing on a nursery in Scotland. Voted the RHS Chelsea Flower Show plant of the year 2011. A woodland beauty, known for her nodding, single blooms which are held high above the foliage flower from May until first frosts. Intriguingly, each petal is pure white on the face with a strong and showy blue banding on the reverse - giving the buds a bluish tinge. Loved by bees and butterflies, who will visit to investigate the nectar and pollen rich blooms. Anemone Wild Swan is a well behaved relative of the Japanese anemone, terrific for borders and containers. Happy in most soils, she prefers to be in part shade. Growing to a height of 45-60cm (18-24') and spreading to around 45cm (18'). A fully hardy perennial which will flourish outside all year round with no winter protection required
