Rose pink blooms, speckled with spots adorn the tall stems of Digitalis purpurea ‘Candy Mountain’ from June to August. Commonly known as Foxgloves, Digitalis are traditional woodland plants adored by bees and pollinators, popular in cottage gardens. The dramatic spires also work well in modern garden schemes, adding shape and colour with their tall spires towards the back of the border. Biennial Digitalis purpurea ‘Candy Mountain’ blooms during the second year of growth before setting seed. Prune spent stems soon after blooming, if self-seeding is not desired in your garden. Foxgloves make great cut flowers, adding an elegant flourish and height to arrangements. Thrives in moist, well-drained soil, rich in organic matter, in particular - leaf mould. A position in full sun or partial shade with any aspect suits Digitalis. A hardy (H5) biennial which does not require special winter protection. H&S: 1.5m x 45cm
