Tell Me More...
Phlox paniculata Laura produces pyramidal clusters of pink-purple blooms, each with a starry white central eye. These showy flowerheads cover neat, upright clumps of foliage throughout July and into September. As they bloom, they release clouds of gentle, sweet fragrance into your garden for further delight. Much loved by your pollinating friends, the nectar-rich flowers will encourage bees and butterflies into the garden and make an ideal choice for the middle of the border and a mixed or single species container. Originating in North America, Phlox were introduced to Europe in the 1700's and have been admired ever since. They are much valued as a long-lasting cut flower as well. Phlox paniculata Laura is relatively unfussy and easy-going, with a natural resistance to slugs and snails. Plants prefer well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. A fully-hardy herbaceous perennial which matures to a height of 90cm with a spread of 60cm and require no winter protection.
