Tell Me More...
Oenothera lindheimeri Siskiyou Pink offers bright pink, star shaped blooms held on long, languorous stems throughout spring, summer and into autumn each year. A perfect addition to your cottage garden and equally at home in a modern or wildlife garden where they will aid your planting transition between the seasons by acting as an anchor to your seasonal colour. Oenothera lindheimeri Siskiyou Pink has a bushy, clump forming habit with the flowers produced on stems which will gently sway on summer breezes and arch decorously towards pathways for a hazy, heavenly impact. Flowers can be cut for bouquets and vases and are an excellent enticement to pollinators as well as foliage providing valuable ground cover. In autumn these stems, and foliage, take on beautiful tints which intensify with the cold, so it is well worth leaving foliage in situ until the spring. Oenothera lindheimeri Siskiyou Pink is a hardy perennial which prefers to be planted in moist, well drained soil which benefits from full sun. It will grow to reach a maximum height of 1.m with a spread of 1m.
