Plant a swathe of Heuchera villosa 'Palace Purple' at the edge of a border or pathway to create an interesting, textural floral layer in your planting scheme. Heuchera are fantastic, dual-interest plants. The foliage is attractive and semi-evergreen, in a gorgeous shade of deep burgundy, particularly lush after rainfall when the raindrops sit sparkling on the leaves. Then, in June to August, stems of twinkling pale pink blooms emerge from the mounds of foliage, adding more curiosity to your garden with their delicate forms. Heuchera are hardy perennial plants, losing a few leaves in winter which can be tidied up in spring. Heuchera villosa 'Palace Purple' grows best in full sun and dappled shade, preferring loam or sand-based soil, which is fertile, remains moist, and is well-drained. Heuchera also work well in pots; their frilled leaves tumbling over the edges.
