Tell Me More...
A beautiful, evergreen, compact ornamental grass with a glowing reputation. Festuca glauca 'Sunrise' brings colourful autumn and winter hues whilst introducing texture and movement to your garden. Tidy, compact clumps of narrow, dark green leaves give an airy feel to this mounded grass which, in summer, holds stunning orange-red fluffy flowers atop long, strong stems. During autumn and winter, the tops of the evergreen foliage take on the effect of a beautiful sunrise; sure to warm the coldest of winter days. Plants are simply stunning in borders and containers - especially when allowed to catch the sunlight. To maintain, simply comb through foliage with open hands to remove spent leaves in winter to early spring. Festuca glauca 'Sunrise' is drought tolerant once it has established a good root structure. Plants prefer to be grown in well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. A hardy, evergreen perennial which grows to a height of 70cm with a spread of 30cm.
