Buddleja

History and Origin:

Buddleja is a genus of 140 species within the Buddlejaceae family, native to Asia, Africa and America. The name was given by Carl Linnaeus, Swedish botanist in honour of Adam Buddle (1662-1715) an English reverend and botanist.

About:

Buddleja are deciduous or evergreen shrubs with stunning yet modest foliage, gloriously embellished with panicles of small, tubular flowers that often release a powerful, sweet scent. They are versatile plants that can survive a range of weather conditions making them easy to maintain.
