Tell Me More...
An exciting and relatively new introduction to the gardening scene which although small in stature will certainly pack a punch in the colour stakes. Buddleja davidii 'Butterfly Candy Little Ruby' brings dense spikes of deep red-pink blooms to create a stunning contrast against neat mounds of compact, blue-green foliage. More compact than traditional varieties so often seen in UK gardens, Buddleja davidii 'Butterfly Candy Little Ruby' is a compact yet equally fragrant variety which is perfect for smaller gardens and container planting. Flowers are borne from June to October, filling your garden with scented clouds and drawing in bees and butterflies for a nectar-rich feast. The silvery green foliage is held from March to November for extended interest. Buddleja davidii 'Butterfly Candy Little Ruby' prefers to be grown in well-drained soil in full sun, although it will tolerate some shade. Grows to a mature height and spread of around 80cm and is a hardy perennial which does not require winter protection.
