Large, ruffled, semi-double and double blooms up to 15cm, are sweetly fragrant, making a stunning display in borders and containers – and an excellent long-lasting addition cut for vases and indoor displays.
The ‘Sunrise Paeonia Collection’ comprises; ‘Coral Charm’ – large, ruffled, sweetly scented blooms open salmon-pink, mature to orange then finish with yellow tones; ‘King's Day’ - a majestic variety, renowned for its large, vibrant, orange-red blooms and regal presence in the garden; and ‘Sunny Girl’ - large, semi-double to double flowers, 12-15cm across, in bright yellow shades, reminiscent of a vibrant summer day.
Typically flowering in May and June, the colourful display lasts for several weeks above lush clumps of dark green, herbaceous foliage. Thriving in full sun or partial shade, they prefer moist, well-drained, fertile soil. Relatively low maintenance, with a high resistance to pests and diseases, they are an ideal choice for both novice and experienced gardeners.
Each mature plant will reach a height and spread of about 90cm. Known for their longevity and often thriving in the same spot for many years, this Paeonia lactiflora collection are hardy to around -10° to -20°C depending on variety.
