Clematis Montana varieties are rightly famed for their ease of growth and vigour. Montana varieties are versatile and can be trained up vertical structures such as a wall, obelisk, fence, and pergolas, or be left to scramble through shrubs. In this collection are three of, perhaps, the best examples of this type of clematis and all have an exquisite scent. You receive: Clematis Montana 'Morning Yellow' which is a delightful clematis which produces young flowers in hues of primrose-yellow which mature to crisp white. The flowers are semi-doubles and are in their pomp in May and June. This is a floriferous variety, with the many flowers offset beautifully by the dark green foliage. Clematis Montana 'Scented Pink' is a wonderful clematis which produces pink flowers with a delightful perfume. The flowers are single, large and are in their full glory throughout May and June. Another floriferous variety, with the wide pink blooms offset beautifully by the abundant lush green foliage. Clematis Montana 'Silver Star' is a new variety launched in 2023, bred specifically to be free flowering, easy to grow and quick to grow; perhaps the fastest growing of all the Clematis Montana family. The colour of the flower is white with a silky/silvery sheen. The flowers are single, small, aromatic, and blanket the verdant foliage from May to June. Prefers to be grown in sun or part shade, planted in moist, fertile well-drained soil - ensure the soil does not become too wet, nor too dry. All reach a mature un-pruned height of 8m and a spread of 3m. These are Pruning Group 1 clematis which means prune to environment after flowering.
