Salvia ‘Go Go Purple’ reaches high - up to 1.2m in height and 60cm in spread, making for a dominant yet still dainty bedding addition. Towering stems send eyes skyward and add architectural impact to borders and beds. Ideal for planting at the back of arrangements, where the pretty purple blooms can be seen in all their glory. Buds will burst with cylindrical flowers which shoot horizontally. Bees and butterflies will be delighted with the tubular blooms they can root around in, sucking up the sweet nectar, making your garden a hot bed of wildlife! Great for beginners due to their pest resistant qualities, Salvia splendens ‘Go Go Purple’is unlikely to have any problems with health and thrives from spring right through to autumn, flowering from June to November. Well-suited to containers too, plants prefer moist, well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay. Position in full sun or partial shade with a south or west facing aspect. A tender, herbaceous perennial, Salvia ‘Go Go Purple’ will withstand temperatures down to around 1-5°C without additional protection.
