Delightfully scented, pure white petals surround a heart of yellow stamens in May and June that will really make your heart sing.Paeonia lactiflora ‘Gertrud Allen’ will make the right impression in any garden, traditionally found in a cottage garden, paeonies are perfect for any sunny border or even in a container on the patio and will be adored by local bees and pollinators. A few cut flower stems in a vase will make a very special display.An herbaceous perennial growing to a mature height and spread of 70-90cm, foliage will die back in the autumn, with fresh new growth reappearing the following spring. Paeonia lactiflora ‘Gertrud Allen’ will thrive in full sun or partial shade in any moist, well-drained soil in a sheltered position. Classed as H6 hardy, additional winter protection should not be required.
