An amazing new introduction from the renowned plant breeders Kerley & Co, Nemesia ‘Melody Swansong’ was recognised with a fantastic award at the 2023 Gardeners World Live show. A profusion of dazzling white, snapdragon like blooms, each with golden yellow eye, are held on stalks to almost cover the neat mounds of green foliage beneath. Even better, clouds of sweet perfume are released, to waft around your garden and attract passing bees and other pollinators in for a closer look. One of the new ‘Melody’ range, all of which are winter hardy down to around -15°C and boast an exceptionally long and floriferous blooming period from March to October. These two new attributes combine to make this the most exciting development in nemesias for a long time. Ideal for growing at the front of a border or in containers, plants prefer to be grown in moist, well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay. Plant in a sunny or partially shaded area, where they will mature to reach a height and spread of around 40cm.
