An exciting trio of exceptionally fragrant shrubs. Your ‘Frosted Fragrance Collection’ flowers successionally from December to April, offering you up to five months of scented splendour at a time when the garden can be sparse of blooms and perfume. All are suitable for containers or open ground so you can locate them where both fragrance and flowers can be most appreciated. Your collection comprises Daphne bholua ‘Mary Rose’ with semi-evergreen foliage and pretty pastel hued blooms from February to April, reaches H: 4m S: 1.5m; deciduous climbing shrub, Lonicera x purpusii ‘Winter Beauty’ which holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its spectacular and dependable performance, reaching H: 2m S: 2.5m; and evergreen Chimonanthus praecox, also known as Wintersweet, with flowers from December to April, H: 4m S: 2.5m. Each has a sweet, spicy scent which is alluring to pollinators and perfect in a vase. ‘Frosted Fragrance Collection’ prefers moist, well-drained soil of any kind and like to be planted in full sun, with daphne and lonicera tolerant of some shade. All are hardy shrubs which should not need additional winter protection throughout most of the UK.
