Tell Me More...
Dianthus Coconut Sundae is an award-winning member of a range noted for its particularly strong scent. Forming compact cushions of slender, grey-green leaves, this pretty little plant bears white, double flowers with a striking deep red eye. These appear continually from May through until August, though have been known to start earlier in a mild spring. The Scent First Series is perfect for adding summer-long fragrance and colour to containers or the front of a border. The flowers are also excellent for cutting, boasting an impressive vase life. As well as allowing their beauty and scent to be brought indoors, this has the added benefit of encouraging prolonged flowering on the plant.Dianthus Coconut Sundae is a hard-working, reliable evergreen perennial, happy in well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil in full sun or partial shade. It is extremely hardy and able to withstand temperatures of -15 C to -20 C, providing its roots are not excessively wet during winter. H: 25cm S: 25cm.
