This collection comprises; texensis ‘Gravetye Beauty’ - a popular deciduous trend setter for several years boasting trumpet shaped, deep red flowers, with lighter pink markings on the reverse from July to September, height and spread 2.5m, H4; x cartmanii ‘Avalanche Blaaval' – an evergreen boasting large spring blooms with crisp white petals in March and April, height 3m and spread 2.5m, H4; and viticella ‘Etoile Violette’ – an historic and much-loved deciduous beauty introduced in 1885, given an AGM for outstanding performance as from Jul to September regal-looking purple violet flowers are enhanced by cream margins, height 4m and spread 1.5m, H6. Clematis require very little maintenance, making them an ideal choice for beginners. They are happiest planted in a position of full sun or partial shade, preferring their roots in cool shade.
