Primula rubens 'Lavender Blue' is a new variety of primula which has all the character and charm of its cousins plus an abundance of pretty, vibrantly coloured double flowers from January to April each year. The intensity of colour these add to your garden during winter to spring is second to none. Primula rubens 'Lavender Blue' is perfect for containers, baskets, border edges and rockeries at a time when there is little colour available. As an added bonus, on sunny days, you may even notice a sweet, subtle scent drifting across the garden. Primula are woodland plants which like a position in semi-shade. As a general rule, however, they are tough enough to do well in most spots if not exposed to baking hot sun or drought conditions. Primula rubens 'Lavender Blue' is a semi-evergreen, hardy perennial which reaches a height and spread of 20cm.
