Tell Me More...
British bred Petunia Tumbelina Priscilla is a recent addition to the Petunia family and has been given the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society for outstanding performance in the garden; quite rightly. By growing Priscilla your summer baskets and containers will smell as good as they look. Grow on their own as a specimen or mix with contrasting colours. Petunia Priscilla is loved for her large, double, lilac-purple blooms. These blooms cover the bushy, trailing foliage from early summer until the first frosts. Priscilla produces more than simple lilac flowers when she blooms; she also emits a divine scent. Plant in baskets, window boxes and in tall containers; where Priscilla effortlessly tumbles over the edges, creating clouds of sweet perfume around your garden. According to new age folklore, there is a belief Petunias will only thrive where there is optimistic energy. In the language of flowers, Petunias symbolise being comfortable with one another. Petunia Priscilla has an exceptionally long flowering period. Petunia Tumbelina reach a height and spread of approximately 30cm, whilst trailing 75-100cm. Preferring moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade, they are tender perennials which require protection from the cold during the winter.
