Nicotiana is a distant cousin of the indigenous American ‘tobacco plant’ and is often referred to by this name. The name originates from Jean Nicot, a French diplomat in the 1500’s, who was convinced of the medicinal properties within the tobacco leaves and presented it to the French royalty as a remedy for headaches. Nicotiana x sanderae ‘Perfume Lime’ are loved by bees and prefers well-drained soil of any kind in full sun or partial shade. Blooming through the summer and well into autumn, these tender (H2) annuals reach a height of approximately 50cm and spread 30cm.
