Nicotiana x sanderae ‘Perfume Deep Purple’ is a relative newcomer to the nicotiana family. Not only does it have the much-loved, jasmine-like scent of nicotiana it offers an ‘on trend’ colourway to pump up the volume of garden colour. Nicotiana x sanderae ‘Perfume Deep Purple’ brings an abundance of large, trumpet-shaped flowers which will bring a tropical touch to your garden all summer and often into autumn too. These tender (H2) annuals are loved by bees and other pollinators so will be humming with activity, particularly on sunny days. Then, when the sun goes down, these special blooms will amplify their spectacular scent – releasing it into the air for romantic, perfumed evenings in the garden. We recommend that you plant them in a spot where this can be fully appreciated – either in a pot or strategically placed in a border near a seating area. Nicotiana x sanderae ‘Perfume Deep Purple’ prefers well-drained soil of any kind in a site which benefits from full sun or partial shade. Plants mature to a height of 50cm and spread up to 30cm.
