Tell Me More...
You will marvel at the beautiful, long-lasting blooms of Helleborus orientalis ‘Anemone Green’. Whilst most other plants slumber, this hellebore will fill the bleakest months, giving hope and opulence. Defying the winter cold, large, nodding, cup-shaped blooms are held on strong stems above clumps of glossy, dark evergreen foliage which further accentuates their beauty. Excellent cut for arrangements in your home, you will also be able to enjoy them inside. A great source of food for the earliest emerging pollinating insects in late winter. The Cornish refer to Helleborus plants as "The Virgin’s Mantle". In Medieval times they were said to be good for breaking bad spells and curses and were often planted next to the front door. Today they are known for their unsurpassed winter beauty. Helleborus are deer and rabbit resistant, preferring to be grown in moist, well-drained soil in dappled shade. Growing to a height and spread of approximately 35cm, Helleborus are fully hardy perennials. Enjoy your hellebores in containers and borders year after year.
