Tell Me More...
Unusual within the Eryngium world, Eryngium 'Magical White Lagoon' is spectacular, providing unique interest with their tasel-like blooms. Distinctly sculptured blue-green foliage is the perfect foil to display curiously attractive cone-like flowers, which open green and turn bright crips white in summer. Each flower is surrounded by a ruff-like layer of silvery bracts. Extra thick outer leaf layers cut down water loss, helping the plant to flower whilst others may frazzle. Known commonly as Sea Holly, because of their tolerance to drought, winds, salt spray and sandy soil, Eryngium originate from Europe and the Mediterranean.A wonderful plant to add texture to your borders and containers. Astounding as a cut or dried flower for spectacular arrangements within your home. Rabbit resistant and very attractive to bees and butterflies, Eryngium 'Magical White Lagoon' is drought tolerant, preferring well-drained soil in sun. A fully hardy perennial, it will flourish for years without the need for winter protection, Magical White Lagoon grows to an approximate mature height of 80cm while spreading to 40cm.
