Canna

History and Origin:

Cnnna is a genus of just 10 species and is the only genus within the family Cannaceae. The name Canna originates from a Latin word for a cane or reed. It is native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas. The first species of Canna introduced into Europe from the east Indies, although it originally did come from the Americas.

About:

Canna are rhizomtous perennials with vibrant tropical lookig flowers that bloom in summer and autumn. They are well-suited to planting in borders and beds, are happily grown in containers and pots and look great in a tropical style garden.
