Young Plants

young plants

Young plants are in the first stage of a plant's development. Usually measuring approximately 8-15cm (3-6”) from root base to stem tip, although they are often larger. We recommend they are potted on for 3-4 weeks to develop strong root growth prior to planting out.

Potted Plants

Potted plants are in the next stage of development and are for those who like instant gardening. These can be either planted straight out upon arrival or grown on a little longer in pots, whichever you prefer.

Bare Roots

bare roots

Bare roots are not always pretty on arrival but they are at least one year old and have been harvested from the field whilst dormant during the winter. We store them in necessary conditions until they are in the best shape to send out.

Bulbs & Corms

Bulbs and Corms come in various sizes although this is not directly relevant to the eventual size of the plant. You do not have to worry about planting immediately on arrival as they will store well in a cool dry place for a couple of weeks.
