Tell Me More...
Rudbeckia triloba ‘Blackjack Gold’ packs a punch in the seasonal planting calendar with a height of up to 1m and spread of 60cm and masses of blooms from July to October each year. Plenty for both the garden and for cutting to add to vases and bouquets. Flowers have artistically rounded tips and an alluring darker eye, making an unmissable contribution to your planting. Stems are robust enough for containers, prairie gardens, herbaceous borders and rockeries - adding their golden glow wherever the grow. As well as bringing sunny summer hues, they make a perfect addition to autumn, lifting and enhancing the rich tapestry of colour at this time of year. Although often grown as an annual, Rudbeckia triloba 'Blackjack Gold' is a deer resistant, herbaceous, hardy perennial tolerant of temperatures down to -20 degrees C, which will die back over winter and return the following spring. Plants prefer any well-drained soil, except sandy and a position of full sun or partial shade.
