Richly coloured, daisy-like blooms with a golden heart With its intense magenta purple hues Osteospermum ecklonis ‘Dalina Compact Purple’ brings depth and colour to your garden when it blooms from May to October. Developed to suit smaller patios and planting spaces - these plants will only grow to 30cm tall, with a spread of 30cm. Osteospermum are said to represent joy and happiness and make a fantastic gift which will spread optimism wherever it grows. Flowers also have the enchanting habit of opening wide on sunny days and closing up at night or when it is overcast. An easy-going plant Osteospermum ecklonis ‘Dalina Compact Purple’ is great for pollinators and can also be cut for a vase or bouquet. This variety is a half-hardy, semi-evergreen perennial which prefers to be planted in a well-drained soil with full sun. Plants are drought tolerant once established. Dependent upon where you garden in the UK plants may need protection, particular when temperatures dip below -5°C.
