Garden Inspiration
Tell Me More...
A petite yet impressive variety of Delphinium which is perfect for pots and small gardens due to its compact size and requires no staking. Ideal for planting in groups for a spectacular summer display. Delphinium elatum ‘Delphina Pink White Bee’ is great for pollinators and you will delight in watching as they bob from bloom to bloom on sunny days. The double, dusty-pink flower spikes bloom from June to August and stems are much desired for cutting to add to a vase or bouquet. Delphiniums in general like a chalk, loam or sand-based soil (heavy clay is best avoided). Plant in a spot with a south or west facing aspect in either full sun or partial shade. Protect early shoots from slug damage with wool pellets, crushed eggshells, or beer traps, avoiding the use of harmful slug pellets. Delphiniums are best divided every 3 years to maintain vigour and will appreciate a mulch of well-rotted manure in autumn as well as a high potash feed every fortnight when flowering. Delphinium elatum ‘Delphina Pink White Bee’ is a hardy (H5) herbaceous perennial which will reach a height of 50cm, with a spread of 25cm.
