An RHS award winner, given the Award of Garden Merit for outstanding garden performance, Delphinium elatum 'Paramo Celeste' is a dramatic and statuesque addition to your summer garden.Light blue blooms with shades of pink and lavender flushing over each petal, form rosette shaped flowers with a pale, almost white bee (centre).Delphinium, commonly called perennial Larkspur, are fondly thought of as 'the queens of the perennial border', and the 'Paramo' series have been specially developed for the cut flower market, with stems up to 1.5m tall. A firm favourite with florists, the stems are long-lasting and add drama to arrangements.Happiest when grown in moist, well-drained soil in a sheltered sunny position, Delphinium elatum 'Paramo Celeste' will reach 90-150cm in height, spreading 40-75cm. An herbaceous perennial which is hardy to -15 C, the foliage will become dormant over winter, ready to sprout again in the spring.
