The ‘Delicate Helleborus Collection’ comprises; orientalis 'Anemone Purple Violet', orientalis 'Anemone Red' and orientalis 'Anemone White'. In Medieval times, Helleborus were said to be good for breaking bad spells and curses and were often planted next to the front door. Today they are known for their unsurpassed winter beauty. Helleborus orientalis thrive in partial to full shade and prefer well-drained, humus-rich soil, and are particularly well-suited for woodland gardens, shaded borders, and underplanting beneath deciduous trees. Fully hardy and reaching a mature height and spread of around 35cm, they are also noted for their resilience, being both deer-resistant and relatively low-maintenance once established. Long-lasting, they will form attractive clumps over time.
