This award-winning Alpine Clematis Collection contains 1 each of Blue Dancer, Pink Flamingo, and Constance - a delightful and complimentary trio to add elegance and poise to your garden.Nodding, bell-shaped blooms, typical of Alpine clematis are borne in tasteful shades of dusky reddish-pink, blush-streaked cream, and sugar-dusted violet. The single and semi-double blooms offer a fabulous mix of graceful shapes - with layered petals like whimsical fairy skirts, blooming in April and May.The climbing stems will reach between 1m and 3m in height and look best when scrambling over a wall, up a building, or winding up through a large tree or shrub.Clematis alpina prefer to grow in moist soil which is well-drained and enjoys either sun or dappled shade. These varieties will also thrive in a large container. Keep the roots shaded from direct sunlight by placing a piece of slate, or flat rock over the base after planting. Flowering on last year's stems, no pruning is necessary unless you wish to control the height of these pretty perennials. Intriguing, fluffy seed-heads add interest throughout autumn and winter.
