Cosmos bipinnatus ‘Sensation Purity’ is such an easy going and versatile plant; producing large, pure white blooms which look sensational. Whether grown in borders or containers, these pollinator-friendly flowers are produced from July through to October for oodles of blooms. A florist’s delight, each cut stem lasts around 10 days, giving you armfuls of flowers to fill plenty of vases within your home. What’s more, the striking, saucer-shaped blooms have a bright yellow centre and are poised on tall, strong stems above the trademark feathery foliage. Commonly known as the Mexican Aster these beauties originate from Mexico where they are frequently seen growing wild. Cosmos bipinnatus ‘Sensation Purity’ reaches a mature height of approximately 1.2m, spreading up to 60cm. Plant in moist, well-drained soil of any type which benefits from full sun. This is a half-hardy annual which vigorously grows and flowers in a single year. Compost down spent plants at the end of the season, not forgetting to collect seed for next year’s blooms.
