Clematis Michiko is a smaller evergreen clematis with a tidy habit which makes it an ideal clematis for gardens with limited space and for planting in patio containers. From April to May, 'Michicko' produces an abundance of star-shaped white blooms, enhanced by the lime green stamen protruding from the flower centre. The white flowers are set against shiny bottle-green foliage making this an attractive clematis throughout the year. Fast growing and can be trained to grow up vertical garden structures or left to scramble through shrubs and hedges. Clematis are given pruning categories, and this is a Clematis Pruning Group 1 - which means Michiko only needs a light prune after flowering. Favours growing in a moist and well-drained soil in a position of full sun with its 'feet' shaded with a height 150cm with a spread of 100cm. This clematis has its origins in New Zealand, so thrives in British climatic conditions and is a great choice for your garden.
