History and Origin:

Trachelospermum is a genus of vines within the Apocynaceae family, native to southern and eastern Asia. They are most commonly known as ‘star jasmine’. The genus name is derived from the Greek word meaning ‘neck seed’, which refers to the shape of its seed.

About:

Trachelospermum are evergreen climbing shrubs with attractive glossy foliage. Leaves will change colour from green to red during the winter with highly fragrant white flowers that are often followed by bean-like seed pods.
