Trachelospermum asiaticum Pink Showers will become the star of your garden, with an abundance of highly scented blooms which add an exotic touch.Self-twining stems with glossy, evergreen foliage creates a wonderful foil for an abundance of simple, five-petalled, highly fragrant pink flowers held in clusters all summer. Trachelospermum asiaticum Pink Showers is perfect grown in container, in a border, trained up a wall, obelisk, maybe near a doorway or seat, so you can fully enjoy the clouds of sweet scent. Native to Asia and southern China, the name Trachelospermum stems from Greek and means Neck Seed, because of the shape of the seeds. An oil often used in perfumery is extracted from the flowers. Growing to a height of 3 - 6m, she prefers to be grown in well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Although being reasonably hardy, Trachelospermum would prefer the warmth of a wall.
