Tell Me More...
Sure to become the star of your summer garden, with an abundance of highly scented blooms which lend a touch of the exotic to your planting. Trachelospermum jasminoides ‘Star of Toscana’ has self-twining stems along with glossy, evergreen foliage which often turns bronze during autumn or winter. This dark green foliage creates a wonderful foil to the abundance of simple, pale-yellow flowers held in clusters from June to August each year. Plants are perfect for growing in a container, in borders and trained up a wall or trellis - maybe near a seat so you can fully enjoy the clouds of perfume. Native to Asia and southern China, the extracted oil from Trachelospermum jasminoides ‘Star of Toscana’ flowers is frequently used to create high-end perfumes. Plants prefer a spot in moist, well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay. A hardy (H4), evergreen climbing shrub which can tolerate temperatures down to -10°C without additional winter protection and greatly benefits from the warmth
